Bit late picking this up, found out when last home: the Rollright Stones have suffered another bout of vandalism. This time, the culprits apparently DROVE to the site, carrying FUEL and other materials including a CAR TYRE, before ‘necklacing’ one of the stones (putting a tyre full of fuel around the top of the stone before lighting it). This is sick and disgraceful behaviour, particularly the level of planning which was exhibited. I for one will be keeping my ear to the ground and if anyone from the area knows anything, I urge you to contact the Rollright Trust or more importantly, the police on 08458 505505 as this is a criminal matter and the perpetrators should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Aren’t kids great…
I’m assuming it was kids (unlikely to be the local pensioner community) who carefully removed all four hubcaps from my car last night. I went to my car this morning and noticed one missing, then a second, which was odd given they were held on with cable ties; going round the other side revealed the other two missing as well. Grrrmmph. It was only last week i was praising the lack of low-level crime and vandalism in my area; obviously spoke too soon.
