and finally…
yes, i have finally got the broadband up and running, pretty much finished moving and have time to write a post to my blog! But what to start with…? Only today, i was reading a funny story about a bunch of fools wanting shiny things, there’s been a(nother) war, this time in Lebanon, and that’s not to mention Cameron threatening to hug me…
On the plus side, Wales is lovely. My new house is gorgeous and the food here is amazing. I’ve found a lovely butchers where the meat is treated good and proper; the bacon is cured for six weeks in their own cure and is truly scrumptious. The steaks are simply heavenly and I’ve been cooking lamb stew with some scrag end; delicious! Abergavenny is just down the road with a fantastic market and fish shop so I’m happy as a pig in, erm, a nice field.
I’ve also got my Mju-400 camera back after it broke during the summer and had to go back to Olympus. £120 worth of repairs (it needed a new on/off switch fitting as the original had worn out); yes, it’s a a lovely camera, but a new Mju-700 is only £40 more than that! I’d swear it’s a new camera rather than a repair though, not that I’m complaining! First set of pictures taken since its return is on Flickr; went to see Oxford at the weekend. Anyhow, saving for that D80 next…
